"Dr. Kim is fantastic. I had a terrible break in my humerus and shoulder. I was told from orthopedic doctors that nothing could be done to fix it...just to let it heal. I had 6 months of terrible pain as it healed. I just couldn't stand it anymore and started my search for an excellent doctor. Dr. Kim was recommended and he had great reviews. So I went to him - he said he could make me feel better and get out of pain. I am also a school bus driver and I am desperately in need to get back to my professional position. Dr. Kim performed surgery and two weeks after the surgery I started to get out of pain. One month later I could finally put dishes away at my home with no pain. Two months later, pain free and I can lift my arm over my head!! Dr. Kim is amazing!! To sum it up, Dr. Kim is the most thorough Dr. I have every been to. He makes sure that you are up to the surgery, he makes sure that he finds out if there are any underlying conditions - before he did my surgery. I felt very safe under Dr. Kim's care. The surgery went great!! I am getting back to my regular life and his is just amazing!!! He accomplished what no other orthopedics physician say they could!! I drive 2.5 hours to get to my appointments with Dr. Kim and I would fly across the country to get to him. I would highly recommend Dr. Kim to anyone seeking an awesome experience!!!"

My goal is to provide you the highest quality of care by offering the most advanced yet scientifically sound surgical treatments available. I am a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with dual-fellowship training in both Shoulder and Elbow Surgery and Foot and Ankle Surgery. I specialize in reconstructive procedures such as shoulder and ankle replacements as well as minimally-invasive arthroscopic techniques.
I believe in advancement of the field through scientific study and education. I hold a faculty appointment in the department of Orthopedic Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco. I am involved with clinical research which offers patients access to the newest treatments and which helps advance our knowledge moving forward. Through my affiliations with both University of California, San Francisco and Stanford, I work with and teach the next generation of orthopedic surgeons.
In my office, I work closely with my partners who are all board-certified and fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeons. Together, we cover a broad range of orthopedic specialties.
